UNDERSTANDING YOUR VEHICLE
What Is a TPMS Sensor & Why Is It Important?
Your vehicle’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System, or TPMS, helps alert you when tire pressure is too low, unstable, or unsafe. A working TPMS sensor can help prevent uneven tire wear, reduced fuel economy, poor handling, and tire failure.
At Heartland Tire & Auto Centers, our technicians provide TPMS service, TPMS sensor replacement, tire pressure checks, and TPMS light diagnostics to help keep your vehicle safe and road-ready.
A TPMS sensor is located inside or near each tire and monitors air pressure in real time. When pressure drops below the recommended level, the system triggers the TPMS warning light on your dashboard. If your tire pressure light is on, flashing, or keeps coming back, it may be time to schedule TPMS repair or sensor service.
